Hi everyone,
For our reading next month, we chose to read two books (both short!): Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka and The Mansion by Henry Van Dyke. We are very diverse this month! Marilyn has my copy of Buddha in the Attic and the library has one copy. The Mansion has one copy at the library or it is available free for the Kindle (and, I'm guessing, other e-readers).
Also, at our meeting, we are going to read The Lump of Coal by Lemony Snicket. It's a picture book and one of my favorite holiday books. :)
I'm excited to host you all in our new house! The first Thursday will be December 6, so let me know if there are any major conflicts for any of you that night.
Happy reading!
-Lorene

For those of you who might be interested, I also just found my copy (er, my mom's copy :) of When the Emperor Was Divine, by the same author as Buddha in the Attic. It tells about Camp Topaz during WWII. Interesting material and an interesting story telling method. Let me know if you'd like to borrow it. :)
